Privacy Policy

Who we are

Contractor Tool Shop (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Yorkis Estevez, based in Ontario, Canada. We build websites, CRM systems, AI estimators, and marketing services for contractors and outdoor-living businesses.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and improve the service:

• Contact form data — name, business name, trade, email, phone, project description, and budget range when you submit the intake form at /start.
• Usage data — pages visited, time on page, and referrer URL (no personal identification, aggregated only).
• Technical data — browser type, device type, and approximate geographic region for security and analytics.

We do not collect payment card details. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not sell your data.

How we use it

• To respond to your project inquiry within 24 hours.
• To route your intake submission into our CRM (Golden Maple Foreman) so the right person follows up.
• To send you a project quote if we are a fit, or a referral if we are not. We do not enroll you in any drip sequence without your explicit consent.
• To improve our tools and services based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.

CASL — commercial electronic messages

We comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will only send you a commercial electronic message (email, SMS) if:

• You submitted an inquiry and the message is directly related to that inquiry (implied consent for 24 months), or
• You have explicitly opted in to receive updates from us.

Every message we send includes a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days.

PIPEDA — your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you.
• Request a correction if it is inaccurate.
• Withdraw your consent and request deletion of your data at any time (subject to our legal obligations).

To exercise any of these rights, email yorkisestevez@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy request.” We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and tracking

Our marketing site uses no third-party advertising cookies. We may use a lightweight, privacy-first analytics tool (no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking) to understand which pages are useful. No data is shared with ad networks.

Our free tools (calculators) run entirely in your browser. No inputs are transmitted to our servers.

Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors:

• Netlify — static site hosting. No personal data is stored by Netlify beyond standard server logs.
• Google Calendar— if you book a call, Google processes your name and email subject to Google’s privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing for client projects. We never see or store your card number.

Data retention

Intake form submissions are kept for up to 36 months or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Aggregated analytics data has no retention limit (it contains no personal identifiers).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to anyone who has an active inquiry with us.
